Welcome to our Shrek’s Swamp Outdoor Learning Area, a magical, immersive space where children step straight into the heart of Shrek’s fairy-tale swamp. Designed to spark imagination, curiosity, and adventure, this themed environment transforms our outdoor provision into an exciting landscape of playful learning. Just like Shrek’s home in the woods, our swamp is full of natural textures, quirky details, and sensory opportunities, encouraging children to explore, imagine, build, and create within a safe, nature-rich environment. Shrek’s Swamp includes an outdoor classroom, a cosy space for stories, group time, arts, and crafts. Mud kitchens for muddy sensory play, making ‘swamp stews’ and imaginative concoctions. A bug hotel for minibeasts, encouraging nature exploration and early science skills. A planting station for hands-on growing where children plant, water, and care for herbs, flowers, and vegetables.
